The Physics To Go website will be unavailable Friday evening through Saturday afternoon as electrical work occurs in the American Center of Physics server room. Down time will begin at 6PM Eastern Time on Friday. Service is expected to resume by 6PM on Saturday, July 30.
This web page contains a set of more than 40 simple experiments, or "snacks", on the topic of light. Exploratorium Science Snacks are miniature versions of popular exhibits at the Exploratorium museum that can easily performed by students in the classroom. All materials are readily available and inexpensive. In this section, look for activities on polarized light, pinhole optics, light diffraction, lenses, light scattering, absorption and emission, Moire patterns, and more.
This resource is part of a larger collection of "Snacks" developed under the direction of the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco.
