With this simulation you can investigate how the spectrum of a black body (like the sun) depends upon temperature and wavelength. A slider control let you smoothly vary the temperature and observe the results.

The Blackbody Radiation Spectrum was created using the Easy Java Simulations (Ejs) modeling tool.  It is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive.  Double click the ejs_ntnu_BlackbodyRadiationSpectrum.jar file to run the program if Java is installed.

Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.5 of Java (JRE).

    The source code zip archive contains an XML representation of the Blackbody Radiation Spectrum model.   Unzip this archive in your EJS workspace to compile and run this model using EJS.
